Local housing identity Steve Gray has more than 25 years experience building homes throughout NSW including the South Coast and Illawarra and over the past ten years in the Hunter and Central Coast districts.
He has played a hands-on role as this area has been transformed from a sleepy backwater to a highly desirable and sought after location away from the stress and expense of a Sydney lifestyle.
Steve has worked in key construction positions with several of the largest residential building companies in New South Wales and continues to be actively involved with all his jobs, regularly visiting every site and client during the building program.
Many builders have come and gone in the Hunter/Central Coast but Steve Gray has been there for the long term.
This has also meant Steve has developed long-term relationships with the area’s best trade contractors and suppliers ensuring the highest standards are met and if there is a problem they come back and rectify the problem.
Over the years we have worked with various government departments including; Defense Housing Authority, NSW Department of Housing and NSW Police Department.
Today our focus is on building new homes to suit the needs of today's discerning buyers. Cavalier Homes Hunter is a true local family business, employing local trade’s people and suppliers.
The brand is well established in the area with large numbers of Cavalier homes built in the area since 2001 by a previous franchisee that has since moved into unit and commercial work.
But, back when Steve started out in the early 1980s he was building mainly 3 bedroom homes in face brick with 1 bathroom and single garage.
However, today the focus is on entertaining and large informal areas, soaring roofline and large 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom and double garaged homes.
